CDs group educate Secondary School in Kiama on Gender Equality. 

The CDs president, thought the students the CDs slogan... Which is putting smiles on people's face and promoting gender equality in the society.

It was another joyful moment for student's of Shalom school, located in kaiama local government of Kwara state when charity and gender CDs group visited the school for their monthly advocacy.


Welcoming the group, the principal Mrs Aluko said its a rare privilege for the group to have chosen her school for their sensitization program for the month.

Responding, the president Corper omoruyi osasuyi thanked the principal for given the CDs group the opportunity to address the students after which a formal introduction was done by other CDs members.

 The advocacy chairman, Corper Francis Iredia told the students of their aim of coming to the school which is to sensitize them about gender equality


The first speaker Corper Faith Kamalu, spoke on gender justice
The second speaker Corper Emeka spoke on "is gender equality a human right ?"
The third speaker Corper Segun spoke on gender discrimination.

While the advocacy chairman spoke on gender empowerment is a division into which an organism is placed according to its reproductive function while empowerment.

Therefore, gender empowerment is the empowerment of people of any gender i.e the process of supporting another person in irrespective of their reproduction function or organ

Elements of empowerment include
Dependency of oneself, making your own decision and self realization of ones physical power
