COVID-19 AND THE SECRET PLACE

By; Ojomah Victor Enyone

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For I cannot shock the world without shocking myself

(THE BEAUTY OF SOLITUDE)
Give me solitude and you have given me everything
Take away solitude from me and you have taken away everything.

Give me solitude for now…
For many are the unheard voices in the grave than boisterous babblings in the market

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For there are more light in darkness than the sun itself

Give me solitude
For I see more with my eyes close than wide open before the television

Give me solitude
For I have travelled round the world sitting at a spot than moving to and fro the earth

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For there are many answers in me that can’t be found in others

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For the first time in my life, I heard the music of my soul

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For the merchants of the night now trade in the day

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For my help comes from within first, then from without

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For the truth don’t need social gathering to spread

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For it is better to be alone in God’s presence than to be lost in the multitude

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For it is better to bear this yoke in my youth than to push it to my old age

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For within me is the light of a millennium star

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For I cannot shock the world without shocking myself

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For it is not the world coming to an end but I

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For to be seen, hiding is inevitable

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For it is better to be alone and live than to die in the crowd

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For I need to end my life if I must start afresh

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
Deep inside of me is a person no one knows yet

Take away solitude from me
And I will keep existing but never live

Give me solitude and you have given me everything
For have been meeting others but now is time to meet myself
