THE PROBLEM ON GROUND IS A CAREER UNTAPPED

if diseases seem to be a problem to you, go to school and study medicine, if broken marriages, corruption etc seem to be a problem to you then go and study first, there are some problems you cant solve unless you grow up intellectually.

James completed his studies from the university three years ago, happily married, working in a multinational company, owns a beautiful house and two luxury cars. Although awaiting his first child, he still loves his wife.

It is true that family fights, soon James and his wife, Annabel, start having disagreement which was largely because of James' been a workaholics.

"I fell in love with James, not a career stricken man!" She ranted at him one Thursday morning. Eventually they divorced.

Career is one's calling in life (and no one is created to divorce his or her purpose in life), much more than a person's occupation or profession.

James chooses his Job over his marriage, not knowing that marriage is also a career. A profession or a job can become a fulfilling career if there is an undying passion and desire. Johnny Carson said; "Desire! That's the one secret of every man's career. Not education. Not being born with hidden talents".

WHY CAREER

Career is necessary in every society because of numerous and difficult challenges that require solutions and answers. These problems comes in form of sicknesses, discouragement, inventions, discoveries, dispute, defamation, ignorance, theft etc.

Career is therefore the ability to solve and develop a problem solving mindset, if there are no problems there will be no need for career.

HOW TO DISCOVER YOUR CAREER

So many people are confuse about their career but they are not confused about the problem they face in life, the problem you face in life determines your career, the type of problem you see and recognize determine what your career is all about. Those things you see as problems are mostly not seen by others. Others don’t even care and are not moved. This is because what they also see as problem you don’t see.

Probe and Reflect: ask questions, don’t just look, why are all plants green, why are some people sickly and others are strong, why? Why? Why?

Pray: you need to pray for God’s direction. Not by power, not by might but by my spirit says the Lord, commit your ways to the lord and he will guide your steps.

 Study: read, meditate, go extra-miles, if injustice seem to be a problem to you, you cant fight it by complaining and shouting, you just have to go to school and study law first, if diseases seem to be a problem to you, go to school and study medicine, if broken marriages, corruption etc seem to be a problem to you then go and study first, there are some problems you cant solve unless you grow up intellectually.

Mentorship: whatever you want to become in life others have been there, learn from them, life is too short to start afresh. When you walk with a wise man soon you become wise because what you are close to will eventually be close to you.

Responsibility: this is the sure way to discovering your career, whatever you see as problems do not blame others. Take action to solve it or find solution to it.

Pay the price: Burn the night candles, cut-off pleasure, discipline yourself, try and try again, never give up until you are up.

Career can be for a lifetime, some can be retired from, and some can be changed. It still remains that career is a pursuit that requires time, energy and resources. No love, no sacrifice.

It's never about being a doctor, or a teacher or an engineer, it's about fulfilling purpose.

Fulfilling purpose is the among the most difficult things in life, because the path is never smooth, but rough, tough, discouraging and terrible. Individuals who have been celebrated in every career spheres has endured the hard times and enjoyed the good times. No pain, No gain.

The Hallmark of career is the point of realization that it is a general course of action or conduct of one entire life. It is never about the title, the money or the fame, it's about purpose, impact and being.
